Who we are
eDoD is an online store operated by Motion Kulca (Pty) Ltd (registration no. 2015/023575/07, VAT no. 4830290823), Suite 42 Regus Business Center, Southdowns Ridge Office Park, Irene 0123, South Africa. Motion Kulca is the responsible party for personal information collected through eDoD under the Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013 (POPIA).

What we collect
- Name, cellphone number, email and delivery address – to process and deliver your order.
- Order history and messages (including WhatsApp chats) – for customer service, returns and warranty.
- Payment confirmation details from our payment provider – we do not store full card numbers.
- Cookies needed to run the shop (cart, checkout, login and security) – to keep the site working.
Why we use it (lawful basis)
To conclude and perform our contract with you, to meet legal obligations (for example tax and consumer-law records), and for our legitimate interests in running the shop. We will only send marketing messages if you opt in, and every message will let you opt out (POPIA section 69).
Who we share it with (operators)
Only as needed: the courier, delivery and pickup-point partners we book for your order, our card payment providers Yoco and Paystack (once card payments are switched on), marketplaces where you bought from us, WhatsApp Business (Meta), and our website host. This website runs on Motion Kulca’s dedicated server located in India, so information you submit here is transferred to and stored in India; other providers may also store data outside South Africa. we only use providers that offer adequate protection as required by POPIA section 72.
How long we keep it
For as long as needed for the purposes above and to meet legal record-keeping requirements (for example 5 years for tax records), then we delete or de-identify it.
Your rights
You may ask to see the information we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, object to processing, and withdraw consent for marketing at any time. Contact our Information Officer. You may also complain to the Information Regulator: inforegulator.org.za.
Security
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information. If a breach occurs that affects you, we will notify you and the Information Regulator as POPIA requires.
